A bit of a birder, an improving photographer and a crap twitcher. Sufferer of bad bouts of 'itchy feet' the only cure for which is travel. My camera always comes with me when I go birding as I try and combine birding with photography. In fact I always take my camera everywhere I go, as there's always the chance of seeing something unsual or just getting a nice picture. I don't do much twitching as I can't stand the stress of potentially dipping although if there's a rare bird fairly nearby I will try and get to see it, although that's not always possible.
I live on the Isle of Wight, southern England, which is where I do most of my photography and birding.
This is just a blog about birds, wildlife and my attempts to photograph them. I also do some actual birding, sometimes, too.
The only problem is that I can't decide if I am a photographer or a birder with a camera. A bit of both, maybe, depending on my mood and how good or bad the photos turn out to be!
I am not a natural comedian like some fellow bloggers are so I'll let the photos do the talking, apart from when I can't help myself and go off on a ramble, rant or at a tangent.
